Seal of Lilith
Lilith
Domina Noctis — Queen of the Night
Office
Not bound by seal or circle: Lilith is approached as a current, not commanded as a servant. Sovereignty, seduction, and the untamed night.
Lilith is older than the Goetia — older than the Bible that barely names her. In Mesopotamia she was the lilitu, the storm-demoness of the night; in Isaiah 34:14 the Hebrew text leaves her name among the creatures of the ruined desert: 'the night hag shall rest there.'
Her legend crystallized in the Alphabet of Ben Sira (c. 8th–10th century): Lilith, first wife of Adam, fashioned from the same earth, who refused to lie beneath him, spoke the Ineffable Name and flew to the Red Sea — sovereign before she was demonized.
The Zohar, the great book of the Kabbalah (13th century), enthrones her as queen of the other side, consort of Samael, mother of the mixed multitude. In the Middle Ages she haunted lullabies; in our age she rose as the sign of the feminine that will not kneel.
LILITH DOMINA NOCTIS is our transmission in her current. She is not summoned — she is met. Watch at night, alone, with a single black flame.
